An authentic business mission statement is very powerful and can be the difference between average success and extraordinary success.

Here are three questions for you to ask to help evaluate your business mission statement to find out if yours is an authentic one or not.

  1. Does this business mission statement really reflect what I or we want or is it what we just think that we want?
  2. When I read the mission statement, do I feel internally moved to achieve it authentically? Or is it cerebral, just in the mind?
  3. Do I feel that there is no way that I cannot act on this business mission statement? In other words, does it naturally inspire me into being excited to take action on its achievement?

If you're answering 'yes' to these questions then you have an authentic business mission statement that is going to bring you a lot of results.

If you have answered 'no' you need to go back and revisit it because you are missing out on the true power of an authentic business mission statement.
